Join the Founding Community

T.A.E.I.L. is still being built.

The people who join early help make it possible for the enterprise to be brought into the world carefully, credibly, and in line with the values it claims to stand for.

What is Founding Membership?

A Founding Member is someone who joins T.A.E.I.L. during its campaign phase, before official public launch, and becomes part of the first community gathered around the mission.

Founding Membership is meant to honour early belief, practical support, and participation in helping bring the enterprise into being. It is not a purchase of power, ownership, or special constitutional influence.

Current Status

T.A.E.I.L. intends to incorporate as a Canadian federal non-profit under the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act (CNCA) before launching any crowdfunding campaign or accepting contributions.

No membership offer is currently live. Its legal form, campaign platform, payment processing, eligibility, tiers, benefits, refund treatment, fees, funds flow, tax language, and fulfilment terms remain subject to incorporation, organisation banking, payment-processor verification, and Canadian legal review.

Future Membership and the Access Model

T.A.E.I.L. is planning a three-part access model for the future platform:

• Visitors can explore public information without an account.
• Users are verified adult account holders who may participate in community features such as the forum, messaging, Circle of Care groups, privacy-led people discovery, and Garage Sale.
• Members are verified Users with an active membership entitlement, who may also use the sensitive personal services: Sanctuary, Memorial, Cherished Moments, Message from the Afterlife, When the Time Comes, and the Passing Notification Network.

The initial User and Member model is intended to be adult-only. A future access model for minors, if any, will require its own dedicated safeguarding, consent, privacy, and legal design before it could open.

A Founding Member will be a verified adult User holding an active membership entitlement purchased during the campaign phase. Verification supports accountability; it will not make a person's legal name automatically public. Members will be able to use a chosen display name, and every person will control their own discoverability settings — including whether they can be found in search at all.

Membership, badges, verification status, or appearing in a directory will never grant access to another person's Sanctuary, Memorial, or other private content. Access to another person's private content always requires that person's explicit, recorded permission. None of these account, verification, community, or Member-service systems currently exist. This describes future plans only.

What Founding Membership is Intended to Help Build

• Safeguarding first — independent input, policy, training, moderation, escalation, and protections for vulnerable users and minors
• Legal and governance setup — CNCA incorporation, governing documents, and trustee-based governance preparation
• Platform MVP build and launch — Sanctuary, Memorial, Message from the Afterlife, Cherished Moments, the Passing Notification Network, and When the Time Comes
• Core leadership and technical delivery — CEO, COO/CHO/CSO, and Technical Lead / Head of Engineering delivery
• One year of essential operations — hosting, insurance, compliance, and ongoing safeguarding support

If the proposed stretch plan is reached and confirmed, funding is also intended to add accountable finance, feature, community-care, editorial, and member-support capacity.

Planning-Only Membership Tiers

Every membership tier, from the floor tier upward, is a direct purchase of future platform membership — not a donation. T.A.E.I.L. does not offer a no-promised-service contribution option. The following tier concepts are planning concepts only, not a current offer or finalised price list. No purchase, payment, or reservation of any tier is currently available.

Eternal Membership After Launch

The campaign-only Founding Eternal Membership is distinct from the planned post-launch Eternal Membership tier.

• No more than three Founding Eternal Membership places are intended to be available during the crowdfunding campaign.
• Founding Eternal Members receive the campaign-era Founding Member designation and badge, subject to the final campaign terms and member-controlled visibility settings.
• After official launch, T.A.E.I.L. may offer Eternal Membership without a numerical limit.
• Post-launch Eternal Membership will not carry the Founding Member designation or Founding Member badge merely because it is an Eternal tier.
• The final name, price, benefits, availability, tax treatment, consumer terms, and fulfilment terms for all post-launch tiers remain subject to legal, operational, and product review.

The campaign tier catalogue is not a guarantee that every tier, price, or benefit will remain unchanged after launch. T.A.E.I.L. will publish a final tier structure only once it is legally reviewed, operationally supportable, and compatible with the confirmed campaign arrangement.

Optional Founding Eternal Concierge Onboarding

A Founding Eternal Member may be offered an optional, member-led Founding Eternal Concierge Onboarding service after successful campaign completion and once the relevant platform services are ready to be delivered.

Subject to final terms, this may include a private, personalised orientation with an authorised T.A.E.I.L. representative, including guided setup of the member's Sanctuary/Memorial preferences, an explanation of available features, and help identifying questions for future configuration.

Where reasonably necessary and safe to do so, the Founder is willing to travel internationally for this onboarding. This intention does not create an unconditional personal-travel guarantee. Delivery remains subject to the member's wishes, operational readiness, reasonable scheduling, travel feasibility, visa and local-law requirements, safety assessment, accessibility needs, safeguarding requirements, and the final campaign and membership terms.

Concierge Onboarding is optional. It is not therapy, clinical care, crisis or emergency support, legal advice, financial advice, estate administration, a welfare-check service, or a guarantee of any particular emotional, bereavement, technical, privacy, or legacy outcome.

No Sanctuary/Memorial content, family information, account information, or membership visibility choice will be accessed, configured, disclosed, or made public without the member's explicit direction and the permissions required by the final platform rules. Any attendee accompanying the member, including a family member, assistant, agent, adviser, or representative, must participate only with the member's explicit consent and subject to applicable identity, privacy, and safeguarding procedures.

The scope, availability, delivery period, expenses, travel arrangements, cancellation process, accessibility accommodations, privacy protections, safeguarding process, and any non-transferability rules will be stated in the final campaign and membership terms. No concierge session will be delivered until the relevant safeguarding and operational foundations are in place.

The Members' Voice

The Members' Voice is T.A.E.I.L.'s planned feedback system. Members will be invited to share needs, concerns, ideas, and experiences, and leadership will take that feedback seriously when shaping the platform.

Feedback does not create voting rights, governance control, ownership, payment-tier influence, or a guarantee that a particular proposal will be adopted. During the founder-led pre-launch phase, final operational and product decisions rest with the Founder/CEO. After incorporation, formal governance decisions will be made in accordance with T.A.E.I.L.'s governing documents and trustee responsibilities.

Recognition and Badges

Every member displays a current tier badge reflecting their active membership tier, which changes if they later change tier.

Members who join any tier during the campaign phase, before official public launch, permanently keep an additional Founding Member badge next to their name — even if they later change tier, let a paid tier lapse, or move to the standard $12/year tier. This is the campaign-era recognition distinction. Post-launch members do not receive the Founding Member badge merely by joining a tier with the same or similar name.

A Founding Eternal Member is one of no more than three campaign-era members intended to receive the campaign-only Founding Eternal designation. An Eternal Member who joins after launch does not receive that designation or the Founding Member badge solely by joining the Eternal tier.

T.A.E.I.L. also plans a future category of distinction or recognition badges for special contributions, events, or milestones — envisioned as a "medals" model where a member may hold several over time. The criteria, governance, and display rules for these badges are not yet decided and will be published only after further review.

Badge and tier visibility are intended to be under the member's control through membership privacy and anonymity settings. The Founding Member badge, Founding Eternal designation, current tier badge, and any future distinction badge are recognition only. They do not create governance power, equity, dividends, trustee authority, voting privilege, preferential moderation, or a permanent entitlement to a discontinued paid benefit — and they never grant access to another person's private content.

What Founding Membership is Not

• Governance power by payment tier
• Trustee authority
• Extra constitutional control
• Investor-like ownership rights
• Equity, dividends, or a conventional exit claim
• Public disclosure of a member's legal identity
• Access to another person's Sanctuary, Memorial, or private content
• Final platform benefits beyond what is publicly confirmed
• Tax relief unless and until lawfully available and explicitly stated
• Therapy, clinical care, crisis intervention, legal advice, financial advice, estate administration, or a welfare-check service

Campaign Mechanics and Refunds

The intended campaign's proposed internal planning targets are CAD $520,000 minimum and CAD $1,400,000 stretch. These are not final public claims.

No refund promise, campaign threshold, all-or-nothing mechanism, fee, funds-flow statement, campaign eligibility statement, membership-tier availability statement, concierge-service promise, or campaign timing statement should be relied upon until platform confirmation, payment-processor verification, and Canadian legal review are complete.
