Updated: September 2026 | Prepared by A.N.G.E.L. — v3.4 (Canada Phase 1)

Help build the community that should have always existed.

T.A.E.I.L. is a pre-registration Canadian not-for-profit building a global community around death, grief, remembrance, preparation, celebration, and mutual care.

Support helps build both the platform and the enterprise behind it: mission-protected, safeguarding-first, and designed for people rather than extraction.

1. Current Status

No live campaign is currently open. This page is for pre-campaign information and expressions of interest only. It is not an offer to purchase membership, make a contribution, or receive a tax benefit.

T.A.E.I.L. intends to incorporate as a Canadian federal non-profit under the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act (CNCA) before any campaign launches or contributions are accepted. It is not a CRA registered charity and does not currently issue charitable receipts or represent future membership payments as tax-deductible.

2. Why Support Matters Now

T.A.E.I.L. is still in its pre-incorporation, pre-launch build phase. Early support and interest help establish the foundations that determine whether the platform is built responsibly at all:

  • Safeguarding comes first. The platform should not open before appropriate protections, policies, training, moderation, escalation routes, and governance are in place.
  • Legal and governance structure matters. The mission needs a careful Canadian legal foundation and accountable trustee-based governance preparation from the beginning.
  • A careful launch needs more than software. It needs accountable operations, finance, member support, editorial stewardship, technical delivery, and community-care capacity.
  • The campaign arrangement is not yet final. No platform, processor, funding model, payment flow, fees, refund process, membership terms, or tax treatment should be treated as settled until written confirmation and Canadian legal review are complete.

3. What Proposed Funding Supports

Responsible-Launch Minimum

The proposed CAD $520,000 gross minimum is an internal planning reference, not a live target or fixed public commitment. Subject to final budget validation, platform confirmation, payment-processor verification, and Canadian legal review, it is intended to support:

  1. Safeguarding first — independent expertise, policy, training, moderation principles, crisis pathways, and protections for vulnerable users and minors.
  2. Legal and governance setup — CNCA incorporation, governing-document work, trustee-based governance preparation, and related pre-launch review.
  3. Platform MVP build and launch — the first live version centered on Sanctuary, Memorial, Message from the Afterlife, Cherished Moments, the Passing Notification Network, and When the Time Comes.
  4. Core leadership and technical delivery — transparent, fairly benchmarked CEO, COO/CHO/CSO, and Technical Lead / Head of Engineering delivery during build and the first operating year.
  5. One year of essential operations — hosting, insurance, compliance, ongoing safeguarding support, and essential operational costs, holding a dedicated CAD $300,000 operating liquidity reserve.

Responsible Stretch Launch

The proposed CAD $1,400,000 gross stretch level is also an internal planning reference, not a live target or fixed public commitment. If reached and confirmed, it is intended to add the operational capacity needed to run a sensitive platform properly from the outset:

  • CFO
  • Feature Owner — Sanctuary, Memorial & Cherished Moments
  • Feature Owner — Legacy Messages & Passing Notifications
  • Feature Owner — Care Planning
  • Community Care & Trust Lead
  • Knowledge & Editorial Lead
  • Member Support Specialist

This is not about unnecessary hierarchy. It is about assigning accountable people to financial stewardship, high-risk feature readiness, moderation and escalation, culturally respectful editorial work, and member support.

4. The Long-Term Model

T.A.E.I.L. is designed as a permanently not-for-profit, mission-protected enterprise: no shareholders, equity investors, dividends, or conventional exit. It is intentionally not seeking registered-charity status — this is a deliberate demonstration that a mission-driven organization can serve society and its members without depending on charitable-tax status.

The long-term intention is a member-funded, transparency-first model where standard membership begins at CAD $12 a year (CAD $1 a month) and people who choose higher tiers help keep access open for people who join at the floor tier. The current break-even model makes clear that this floor is an access commitment, not yet independently self-sustaining at every scale; continued support, higher-tier participation, grants, and/or lower-cost payment routes are needed to sustain access responsibly at early scale.

5. Membership, Not Donation

T.A.E.I.L.'s current planning model treats every future contribution, from the CAD $12/year floor tier to the highest membership tier, as the purchase of a defined membership in the future platform — not an open-ended donation and not an investment.

T.A.E.I.L. does not plan to offer a no-promised-service contribution option. This reflects an intentional choice about how T.A.E.I.L. wants to relate to the people who support it: as members joining a community, not as donors to a cause.

People who support T.A.E.I.L. early through any membership tier may be invited to join the founding community and permanently retain a Founding Member recognition badge. Any membership tier, benefit, payment route, refund treatment, consumer disclosure, fulfilment term, and legal/tax wording remain subject to the Platform Gate and Canadian legal review.

No membership tier will buy governance power, trustee authority, ownership, equity, or extra voting control.

6. Future Community and Member Access

T.A.E.I.L. is also planning a future authenticated community layer for verified adult Users and Members, separate from the sensitive Member services.

Public information will remain open to everyone. In the future, verified adult Users and Members would be able to participate in community features such as a forum, request-and-accept messaging, Circle of Care groups, privacy-led people discovery, and a Garage Sale used-item listing space. Sensitive personal services — Sanctuary, Memorial, Cherished Moments, Message from the Afterlife, When the Time Comes, and the Passing Notification Network — are intended as future Members-only services on taeil.life.

None of these account systems, community features, or Member services are currently available. Community members will use chosen display names rather than having their legal identity made public, and being visible in a future directory or connected through a group will never itself grant access to another person's private content.

7. Campaign Status and Platform Gate

No live campaign is currently open.

T.A.E.I.L. is assessing a possible crowdfunding arrangement, but no campaign platform has been selected or publicly confirmed. No statement on a prospective platform's eligibility, payment processing, funding model, all-or-nothing mechanics, refund treatment, fees, funds flow, membership functionality, or campaign terms should be understood as a promise by T.A.E.I.L.

No campaign page will be published, no contribution accepted, and no eligibility, funding model, all-or-nothing mechanism, refund process, fee, funds-flow, tax, tier, pricing, benefit, or campaign-target statement treated as final until:

  1. Entity & Banking: T.A.E.I.L. incorporates as a Canadian federal non-profit under the CNCA and opens an appropriate Canadian organisation bank account;
  2. Underwriting Clearance: A suitable payment processor confirms in writing that the proposed structure is supported: China-resident founders, a Canadian legal entity, and CAD processing; and
  3. Legal Review: Canadian counsel reviews the proposed crowdfunding arrangement, including its terms and the prepaid Founding Membership structure.

Until that work is complete, please do not treat this page as an offer to purchase membership or receive a tax benefit.

8. Safeguarding Promise

T.A.E.I.L. will not open to Members, Users, or any authenticated community feature until safeguarding foundations are in place.

That includes independent safeguarding input, a written and reviewed policy, clear moderation and escalation processes, protections for vulnerable users and minors, identity-verification exception handling, and careful controls around welfare concerns, death verification, legacy messaging, passing notifications, community messaging, and Garage Sale safety.

9. Ways to Help Now

  • Follow the build and share thoughtful feedback.
  • Introduce aligned Canadian non-profit, safeguarding, legal, finance, product, editorial, or community-care expertise.
  • Express interest in governance, advisory, partnership, or future-member participation.
  • Return for confirmed campaign information only after the Platform Gate and Canadian legal review are complete.

10. Stay in Touch

Support T.A.E.I.L. not only because the platform matters, but because the way it is being built matters too.

This Support Us page reflects T.A.E.I.L.'s Canada Phase 1 planning as of September 2026. It is pre-campaign information, not a live fundraising offer or legal advice, and remains subject to the Platform Gate and Canadian legal review.
